Her journey
Meet Karen
A wife, a sister, a friend — and a woman who faces every day with more grace than anyone should have to.
Karen was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease several years ago. Since then, her world has been organized around dialysis — fseven times a week, every week, for hours at a time. It keeps her alive. But it isn't living.
She is getting onto the national transplant waiting list, but the average wait is years she may not have. A living donor changes everything — a scheduled surgery, a kidney that lasts nearly twice as long, and a chance to get her life back.
"She doesn't ask for much. She just wants more time."
Karen is someone who shows up for everyone around her. She's the one who calls to check in, who makes dinner, who remembers the small things. Now it's our turn to show up for her. We're asking — with all the hope we have — if you might be the person who gives Karen more time.
Could You Be Karen's Donor?
You don't need to be a family member or a perfect match. You just need to be willing to find out. The evaluation is free, confidential, and comes with no obligation.
